CUBIC 99
Questo computer, noto anche come Talking Computer, era completamente compatibile con i sistemi operativi Apple II e CP / M grazie alla sua scheda madre a doppio processore (6502 e Z80). È stato prodotto da Creative Technology Cie. Che in seguito diventerà famoso in tutto il mondo per le sue schede Sound Blaster.
Cubic 99 aveva anche un sintetizzatore vocale che permetteva all’utente di registrare e riprodurre parole in lingua inglese o cinese. Diversi comandi del linguaggio BASIC consentivano anche al computer di pronunciare frasi inserite come variabili stringa. Il suono era di scarsa qualità, ma era il migliore dell’epoca nella tecnologia del suono a basso costo.
Creative era una società con sede a Singapore. La grafica sullo schermo del modello mostrato celebra il 25 ° anno di indipendenza di Singapore, nel 1990.
